New Fall 2024 Class!

Dr. Rafael Martinez and Professor José Causadias will be teaching a new class in the 2024 fall semester. This course, Families Living (Un)documented, is part of the ASU Humanities Lab and will be taught in the ASU Chandler Innovation Center.

This class aims to teach community-based approaches for working with immigrant/migrant families. We will learn from the experience of undocumented immigrant families by incorporating social science and humanities methods from historical and contemporary examples of community activism. During this course, we will employ qualitative methods such as storytelling, oral history, systematic reviews, and digital archives to collaborate with local immigrant rights organizations in our class projects.
